Gabriella marchioni bocca IS THE NEW assomac president

Gabriella Marchioni Bocca was today appointed the new President of Assomac, the National Association of Italian Manufacturers of Footwear, Leathergoods, Tannery Machines and Accessories at the Assomac Annual General Meeting in its Vigevano headquarters.

Gabriella Marchioni Bocca has been CEO of her family’s engineering firm Lamebo Srl since 1995.  She lives in Turin and has worked the world over as a sales director.

Gabriella Marchioni Bocca succeeds Giovanni Bagini to become President after four years as the Association’s Vice President and after heading up the Communication, Exhibition, Marketing and Member Service Commission under President Giulio Tandura.

She has played and continues to play a prominent role in associations and confederations such as Piccola Industria, Unione Industriale, the Board and Committee of the Turin Chamber of Commerce. She has also been on the Technical Commissions of the Confindustria in Rome.

Her long involvement with the employers’ federation has given Gabriella Marchioni Bocca the vision for the programme of her presidency, featuring continuity with that achieved by her predecessors. She is committed to following through the process of evolving the role played by ASSOMAC, making it ever more the Home of Engineering Entrepreneurs and a point of reference for the sector.

Key points will be internal and external communication, to boost the Association’s visibility in Italy and around the world; Assomac’s role in the leather sector; greater Member involvement and participation in Assomac activities; and business training, with special attention paid to young people as an investment for the future of companies in the sector.

Simac Tanning Tech and exhibition strategies will be a core focus of the President’s work: the exhibition renewal process and the significance of technological product innovation.
