house-of-springAt the Footwear Friends annual award ceremony in London last night, new shoe label House of Spring were presented with the The Joe Meltzer Travel Award House of Spring’s founder Radhia was pleased to receive her award from Marco Ellerker on behalf of Philip Meltzer.

The Footwear Friends Annual Awards are now in their tenth year and are established as one of the key awards for developing British Design talent.  The Awards enable Footwear Friends to recognise young entrepreneurs who are the future lifeblood of the industry.

In recognition from key players in the shoe industry House of Spring was chosen from a very strong field of 13 other talented and committed designers to receive this prestigious award.

House of Spring was judged by a panel of judges including: Malcolm Collins (Footwear Friends Trustee), Marco Ellerker (‎Global President & Managing Director Lifestyle Division at Pentland Brands), Jamie Brogden (Head of creative design The Dune Group), Dominic Casey (specialist shoe maker of G.J. Cleverley) and Ben Wright (UK sales manager at Micro-Pak Ltd.)

Radhia comments, “‘We are extremely honoured to be receiving the Joe Meltzer Travel Award by the Footwear Friends, it is such an important award.  We are sincerely grateful for the recognition from the British footwear industry.  The award will help us to take House of Spring to the next level with the benefit of guidance from such an experienced member of the industry.”
