Berlin stays the home base of BREAD & BUTTER – tradeshow for selected brands. With its return in July 2009, BREAD & BUTTER has permanently strengthened Berlin as a fashion location. Since then, the Fashion Week Berlin has strongly gained relevance in the competition with the international fashion capitals such as Paris, Milan and New York. Berlin's dynamics are not comparable to those of any other city. Berlin as a fashion location is clearly on a tear, is clearly way out in front. As a result, the professional visitor cannot manage Berlin in the course of three days anymore. "As the international leading tradeshow, we have a responsibility towards the industry and towards Berlin", says president Karl-Heinz Müller. "Therefore, it is our duty to counteract this situation by offering a solution."
