After its great success with the recent "Natural Sensations" event in Tokyo – last February 20th -, the Consortium could not miss the International Shoes & Leather goods Fair.
The group of Tuscan tanneries will participate for the second time, stimulated by the growing request and by the great interest of the Japanese market for vegetable-tanned leather.
From next April 17th to 19th, the 34th edition of ISF fair will take place at the Sunshine City Culture Centre Building of Ikebukuro, Tokyo. With 142 exhibitors – manufacturers and stylists of leather goods and shoes – at its previous edition, the importance of ISF has surely increased during the last years. The 33rd edition had 5.339 visitors: press (12,9%), retailers (49,9%), importers, wholesalers and manufacturers (37,2%).
The presence of the Consortium was much appreciated last time. Many manufacturers and stylists left their stands to talk with the representatives of the Consortium. Visitors too were much attracted by the leathers of the member tanneries of the Consortium.
This year, the big stand of the Consortium will host many leathers, to give a wider idea of the many possibilities that this material offers. Moreover, the visitors could "test" their senses on vegetable-tanned leather, thanks to the interactive path "Leather & Senses". After the great success of this research in Italy, Japan will be the next country to touch, hear and smell this material.
Three particular structures will completely involve visitors into the many sensations that a natural material, such as vegetable tanned leather is, can produce.
