British sports footwear brand HI-TEC is pleased to announce a new 3-year partnership deal with the Subaru World Rally Team.
As the Official Footwear Supplier, HI-TEC will provide the entire team with its footwear requirements (travel, service and safety) for what is a long and demanding season. Footwear specifications are diverse due to the numerous global rally destinations, ranging from the harsh winters of Northern Europe, the humidity of Asia and the dust bowls of South America.
HI-TEC’s expertise in Outdoor and Safety footwear make them the ideal footwear partner, satisfying all necessary technical requirements.
Since it was started in 1989, the Subaru World Rally Team has won 47 rallies, claimed six FIA World Rally Championship titles and has earned a reputation for innovation and success at the highest level of competition. Over the next year, HI-TEC and the Subaru World Rally Team plan to develop a dual branded collection of technical and lifestyle footwear that will be sold through the team’s powerful global merchandising organisation.
HI-TEC Global Partnership Manager, Jason Larke comments, "This is a fantastic partnership for both companies. The Subaru World Rally Team has shown on numerous occasions that it is the force in World Rally. Equally the team’s brand is second to none in its ability to transcend the sport and that brand screams performance. It’s a perfect match for HI-TEC as we are ideally placed to showcase our technical abilities in some pretty extreme conditions. No other brand has the combination of experience in the safety, lifestyle and travel footwear and we look forward to supporting them in their challenges ahead.
Richard Taylor, Subaru World Rally Team Managing Director, says: "This is an important new partnership for our team and one with some exciting opportunities for both organisations. With such a wide variety of competitive conditions, the World Rally Championship is the ideal showcase for Subaru’s high performance vehicle technology and I think it makes the ideal proving ground for HI-TEC’s range of footwear too. We’re looking forward to working together with HI-TEC over the next three years and exploring some exciting new joint projects."
