Manas has won the first prize for value creation in The 2009 China Awards, organized by an Italo-Chinese foundation in collaboration with the Milano Finanza newspaper. The Italian company is developing a dedicated shoe line for the Chinese market with the help of a local design team. Manas has four stores in China and they should grow to 100 within five years. The brand has also opened three new corners in three different department stores in South Korea on a franchised basis, and their number is set to grow to 16 by 2012. Globally, the company is targeting deliveries of 1.5 million pairs and sales of €70 million for 2009.
