Thrice as Nice

How do you build on perfection?  It’s a toughie, but this was the creative challenge facing Kickers and the LEGO Group ahead of their third season of kids’ footwear collaboration.  Set to be unleashed in October 2010, the resulting collection is cuter than a two month old puppy. New winter boots, playful prints and brand new translucent outsoles with flashing lights ensure that this season’s range is as much fun as any child could have with a pair of shoes. Also worth mentioning are the new baby shoes, in classic LEGO® colours for baby boys and pinks and purples for baby girls.

This third season sees the return of instantly recognisable LEGO design features incorporated into the collection on the eyelets and straps, as well as some of the most iconic LEGO prints. All of this is delivered in the signature bright uptempo LEGO colours which complement the playful Kickers spirit perfectly. Popular styles, like Kick Hi LEGO Strap and Kick LEGO T-Bar, make a welcome return in new colour combinations, as well as old favourites. Boys will go crazy for the LEGO Firefighter and Police prints used on the classic Kick Hi boots. Meanwhile girls – and their mums – will fall in love with the new winter boots which feature LEGO bows, LEGO floral prints and actual LEGO flowers all in bright happy girly colours.

Duncan Adams, Managing Director for Kickers comments:

“Three seasons in, and the Kickers and LEGO collaboration footwear is still as exciting as ever to us. The range keeps getting better and better. After the success we had with the girls’ collection in Spring 2010, we will be making mums even happier this autumn as we are now including  new baby style in signature LEGO colours. My favourite aspect of the range this season is the blinking lights on the soles of some of the shoes. What fun will that be!”

This footwear adventure is aimed at boys and girls aged 4-10, as well as infants with the baby range. The shoes’ RRP will vary between £30.00 for the baby shoe and £60.00 for some of the larger sized boots. The collection is set to drop in retail across the country and online from October 2010.
