The Comfort Shoe Shop has been stocking DB’s ‘easy b’ range of footwear for over a decade, since it was introduced, as owner Geoffrey Gook explains: "Speaking as a retailer, DB have consistently delivered a good quality product at competitive prices. We cater for a niche market, as our name suggests, and ‘easy b’ shoes meet our customer’s specific needs and look great at point of sale."

Based in picturesque Hythe, on the edge of the New Forest, Mr Gook has found his relationship with DB has strengthened over the last twelve years:

"The sales staff and representatives are always very helpful and accessible. As any retailer knows we rely on the stock we order being available and delivered on time, which DB can guarantee, and if ever stock is unavailable we are informed in good time to plan ahead. Also, they tailor their services to enable us to buy ahead, thus making a saving on orders by grouping together pack prices, and by offering incentives such as discounts for early settlement of accounts. It all goes to help the busy retailer!"

"Also, unusually, DB do not tell us what price to sell at, with no recommended retail price they are happy to trust us to make that decision at point of sale, to do what we do best. This gives us a lot more flexibility and puts us in control of our profit margin, which is great!"

Mr Gook also feels DB are listening to what the retailers feed back to them about what customers want:

"With an already extensive, innovative product range DB have also introduced a younger looking range over the last two years, adding another dimension to this niche market. Our customers are also pleased, not only that they can find a shoe to fit their specific needs, but that they don’t have to compromise on comfort, colour or style!"
