Student from Moda Footwear partner DMU to design shoe for Duchess
Last week saw six De Montfort University (DMU) Footwear Design students competing for a high profile commission by designing a pair of shoes for the Duchess of Cambridge. The designs were presented to the Duchess and The Queen when they visited the DMU campus in Leicester to celebrate the beginning of the Diamond Jubilee Tour of the UK.

DMU Graduate Business In Line For National Award
The Footwear Industry Awards 2012 honour the most innovative and inspirational footwear businesses. These are the awards that national brands and retailers want to be finalists in as they are judged by the industry and public. The online shoes retailer, Kindred Sole, set up by two Fashion Retail Buying Graduates are finalists at the awards for Footwear Brand of the Year. Lizze Leary, 23, and Beth Widdowson, 24, launched Kindred Sole in October 2009.
