YOUR STYLE. YOUR COMFORT. YOUR CHOICE - WOLVERINE LAUNCHES iCS FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2011

Published:  15 November, 2010

The Wolverine iCS technology is designed for every foot – all you need to do is select your perfect setting.. With a history forged through innovation and marked by a passion for excellence, Wolverine never stops innovating and delivering on the brands promise, which is why customers trust it to combine authentic performance with the latest comfort technologies.

To maintain your maximum health, you need a shoe that gives you maximum comfort. Every foot is unique and Wolverine’s iCS – Individual Comfort System technology respects that. Offering you complete control over your comfort, iCS features a revolutionary removable wave disk in the heel, which easily adjusts to the amount of firmness or cushion you need and where you need it.

With four unique settings, this groundbreaking technology enables you to maintain maximum health and body alignment, by letting users select the setting that is right for them to achieve a more comfortable, natural step. Whether you have high arches, low arches or anything in between, Wolverine iCS gives you the control with high performance footwear, whether you’re out for a hike or spending the day in the city.

Two of Wolverine’s more popular shoes, the Hatch (SRP:£75.00) and Salina (SRP:£75.00) both house this fantastic technology making them the perfect choice whether you are heading up to the hills for a light hike, or out walking your dog. With their EVA outsoles and TPU Arch and heel support, you can be sure to get wherever you want to go in style and comfort.

All you need to do to adjust your wheel setting is 1) remove the sockliner, 2) choose your setting, 3) set both disks the same, and 4) replace the sockliner.

To work out which setting is best for you, stand flat on the floor. Are you really standing flat? Or are your feet titled inward? Outward? If it’s hard to tell, place a pair of worn shoes on a table, toes pointing away from you. Then look at them from eye-level. Are they worn evenly, more on the inside, or more on the outside?

  • WORN ON THE INSIDE

You may over pronate. A low arch may contribute. Your foot continues to roll inward when it should be pushing off, which can lead to discomfort.

You need setting I – Enhance Inner Support

  • WORN ON THE OUTSIDE

You may under-pronate (supinate). A high arch may contribute. Your foot doesn’t roll inward enough after ground contact, which can cause extra stress on the foot.

You need setting O – Increase Outer Support

  • TIRED FEET

If you are always on-the-go and by the end of the day, your feet are sore and tired, you may require more firmness under the heel. This will help return energy and keep your foot effortlessly moving forward.

You need setting F – Go Firm

  • STANDING TALL

If you stand on your feet for extended periods of time and your feet are feeling the pressure, you may need more cushioning under the heel. This will help maximise shock absorption.

You need setting C – Add Cushion

The iCS technology is featured across the Wolverine range in the Casual, Outback, Trail Hiker and Sandals collections so you have a style for every occasion with the comfort to match.
