Pure London Footwear and Accessory Show, London Olympia, 13-15 February 2011

The February edition of Pure London will not disappoint with an array of new and returning footwear and accessory brands. Situated on the Upper Level of London Olympia, the Accessories and Footwear sections will allow buyers the chance to source products alongside seasonal clothing trends. With 88% of buyers to Pure London interested in the Accessories and Footwear, February will see the largest selection of handcrafted jewels through to leather clutches, printed scarves and bespoke hats.
Pure London will also be showcasing a range of Premium Accessories which will sit in the Upper Gallery complementing the womenswear brands in Pure Premium. New to the show, Tatty Devine, Bernstock Spiers, antoni & alison, St.Erasmus and Mimi will all be showing under the Accessory Central Showroom, a must see!
Also in the Premium section Lilifi will present a line of luxury leather accessories that transcends seasons while high-end jewellery brand Miquella, is now in its fourth season and is successfully selling in boutiques and prestigious department stores worldwide. With a strong emphasis on hand crafts, intricate knotting and bead work, these techniques have become an integral part of the brand. Miquella uses materials ranging from fine Indian silk to luxurious nappa leather and from Swarovski crystal to onyx and semi precious stones.
British brand Orit will be showing for the first time. An eclectic range of affordable jewellery, the collection successfully fuses fashion jewellery and fine jewellery. All the designs are hand-made or hand-strung, and many pieces are one-off designs. Jewellery brand Melissa McArthur will be returning to the show after a short break. Hand made in London using precious metals, hand cut semi-precious stones & freshwater pearls the collection is inspired by current fashion trends. Ally Capellino will return for the second season in Premium Accessories next to Comfort Station, Blank and Sam Ubhi.
“Pure London has improved season on season, we used to come for accessories and to buy from existing brands, but now the offering has expanded so much we now come to source new collections. Israel’s Leading costume designer Ayala will be new to the show sitting alongside regular favourites Anna Lou of London, Lola Rose and Ruby & Ed all in Premium Accessories.
Luxury leather brand Bobelle London will present their ‘Envelope’ and ‘Dusty Pink’ collections. Each bag is hand made using luxurious eel skin leather. Also in the main Accessory Hall, Mischa Barton, Calvin Klein Accessories, Ri2k, Alison Van Der Lande, Design Six, Suzy Smith, Zandra Rhodes bags and chosen designer for the royal wedding, Vivien Sheriff we all return with their latest collections.
February will see the largest collection of young fashion ever with Pure Spirit taking over Earls Court. To tie in with the expansion and help buyers source young fashion accessory brands, Funky & Fresh will also be situated in its new home of Pure Spirit. The section will house must-have accessory brands for the cool, trendy fashion retailer.
Funky & Fresh will make sourcing the most relevant accessories easier. Top brands leading the way include Pantherella, Beta Fashion and Buffalo Private Label. Simon Tennant, UK Sales Manager for Pantherella commented “Pantherella are thrilled to be launching our new Autumn 2011 collection at Funky & Fresh within Pure Spirit, this coming February. The new format of the show will attract buyers from all the best retailers in the UK and the world.”
Pure London's Footwear returns to Olympia in February for another strong season on the upper level. Dedicated to designer and contemporary footwear brands, the hall is split into two areas; Trend led and Design led with new low walling around the extended footwear section allowing buyers to better view all the brands available at the show see
Showing for the first time in the UK in the Design Led section, is ethical brand Veja. Their shoes are made from natural latex rubber, vegetable-tanned leather and organic cotton. Through their sourcing of local organic cotton, Veja supports two cooperatives of small producers. Also in the Design Led section, French brand Accessoire Diffusion, c.doux, Love from Australia and Arche will be on show for visitors to browse.
Rae Jones, a footwear label from shoe trend specialist and textile designer Rachel Jones, is another brand not be missed. With a decade’s experience forecasting key trends for the international fashion footwear industry, Jones has used her extensive insight to create her own slick yet eclectic footwear brand. Unusual materials and juxtaposition is a Rae Jones signature: tumbled grains and high shine leathers with suede, together with sophisticated colour combinations in Design Led.
Over 40 new footwear brands will be showcased under in Pure Footwear including prestigious brand Frye. The brand remains true to its heritage and vintage American roots with finely crafted, fashionable boots, shoes and handbags featuring rich leathers and quality hardware. The brand has a huge celebrity following with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jake Gyllenhall, Alexa Chung and Anne Hathaway all spotted wearing their design.
Pertti Palmroth will be the first brand from Finland to exhibit at the show. Known for luxurious materials and fashionable designs the focus is on exclusive footwear made of soft leathers and warm lamb skins along with the famous all-weather boots. Other inspiring new brands to the UK at Pure Footwear include Looky, Minnetonka, Sanita, Miz Mouze, Unleashed, Melissa and Ravel.
FICE, the leading Spanish Footwear Association, will be bringing a range of brands including Audley, Chie Mihara, Hispanitas, Sixty Seven, Alma en Pena and New Rock.
Accessories and Footwear are now essential to complete the Autumn/Winter 11 wardrobes, and complement the womenswear collections at Pure London. Buyers can’t fail to fall in love with the clothes, accessories and footwear, providing plenty to entice customers into their stores.
