K-SWISS ENTERS TRAIL RUNNING MARKET
Published: 17 August, 2011
California Sports Company K•Swiss has introduced a new category to its already robust performance running collection with the launch of the Blade-Max Trail™, a hydrophobic, high-mileage trail runner. Built on its knowledge from running, K-Swiss has developed its new trail shoe with all the technologies required to meet the trail runner needs.
The fully-loaded high-mileage Blade-Max Trail combines a durable and supportive upper featuring ion-mask™ by P2i water resistance and Seamfree™ technology with a high-impact cushioning outsole. A point of differentiation from other trail runners, the ion-mask™ finish provides a level of liquid repellency that old technologies simply cannot match while still providing breathability. The addition of a Seamfree™ upper omits any hot spots a runner may face on uneven terrain providing a comfortable ride.
The outsole is designed for rough terrain with use of Blade-Max Technology™, which positions anatomically placed K-EVA ‘blades’ that align to the angle of impact providing progressive cushioning. These blades also act as an independent suspension and allow for increased traction due to blades’ self-cleaning ability. Loose gravel and sand are swept away with each foot strike because of blades’ angled design. A bed of Superfoam® sits on top of the Blade-Max outsole for further comfort and a Rock Block Protection Plate protects the runner from bumps in the rocky road. RRP: £90
