OUTDOOR LIFESTYLE BRAND MERRELL EXTENDS PARTNERSHIP PORTFOLIO Outdoor lifestyle brand Merrell has thrown its support behind Breakthrough Breast Cancer by extending its partnership with the charity into a second year. The relationship is a perfect fit, complimenting Merrell’s brand ethos which is to encourage an active and healthy outdoor lifestyle. Merrell are promoting a line of footwear with highlights of pink to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer, with 10% of retail price going directly to the charity which aims to fight the disease.
Research has suggested that a healthy, active lifestyle can help to prevent the onset of cancer, which affects nearly 1 in 9 women. Merrell has committed to raising a minimum £20,000 from the initiative. Merrell will support Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October by launching an integrated marketing campaign that will help generate awareness and communicate the charity’s key messages. Launching in September, Merrell will leverage its official outdoor partnership with an in-store campaign that will focus on four selected pink styles from the women’s performance range.
