Le Bunny Bleu hops into the UK for October 2011!

"New York cool with a European twist" - Le Bunny Bleu, the New York based footwear brand that’s taking the continent by storm present their Fall/Winter collection in the UK in conjunction with the launch of their flagship store at Westfield, Stratford on 15 October 2011. The collection channels retro influences and attention to detail with hand knitted decoration and classic styles perfect for the weekend, work and play. Signature pieces include the avant-garde oxford brogues, classic ballet flats, vibrant slip-ons and innovative water resistant wool boots.

Le Bunny Bleu, founded by CEO Marian Rebro in 2005, is headquartered in Manhattan, New York and currently operates 72 stores worldwide with plans of expanding to 180 stores internationally by the end 2012. The brand generated sales of £52 million in 2010 providing the perfect springboard for their their expansion into the UK.

Le Bunny Bleu’s flagship UK store at Westfield, Stratford City launches this October; the first of three new London stores with outlets in the West End and Kensington to follow respectively within a year. In 2012, 24 franchise stores will also be opened in locations across the UK.

Along with a retail expansion the brand itself is also growing. For 2012 two more bunnies will join the Le Bunny Bleu family; Le Bunny Noir flat shoes will be crafted solely from the finest Italian black leather and Le Bunny Vert will become the eco-friendly arm of the brand.

The major markets up until 2010 have been South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan and the United States, but with the UK marking its first European opening, the tone has been set for further European expansion.
