Totem in pole position for UK Point of Sale
Published:  01 August, 2007

The latest product to be launched from the home of all things promotional, UK Point of Sale, is the stylish Totem poster and leaflet holder. However an organisation chooses to display leaflets, magazines or brochures, retail and brand communication is key to turning businesses into modern powerhouses. Sales and marketing director at UK Point of Sale, Debbie Jamieson explains.

“Getting your retail or brand strategy right is an art form, it takes creativity, style, knowledge and lots of pre-planning to get your messages across. It's no accident that those businesses that know how to communicate with their customers and understand their buying patterns, manage to relieve them of their cash. And, I'm not just talking about huge corporations - dentists, hairdressers or convenience stores - they all understand the power of communication.”

UK Point of Sale is at the cutting edge when it comes to understanding the POS market, with a raft of products suited to practically any and every environment. Those in the know have long considered UK Point of Sale to be a leading force when it comes to offering original products.

The aluminium totem poster and leaflet holder offers a single sided A1 poster size, with a snap frame 25mm profile and can support 16 different leaflet sections or two sections with poster. The totem is ideal for displaying promotional literature, and advertising and is available in a variety of other display combinations.

Debbie continued: “We've extended our range of floorstanding leaflet dispensers in response the need for more flexible solutions. The need to communicate with customers is paramount, and as we approach the summer sales season retailers are vying for our cash. Get the message across, whip those shops into shape and listen to those tills ringing!”

Tricks of the trade

  • Look at the positioning of your in-store advertising
  • Review footfall and busy walkways - could you maximise promotions and offers?
  • Are your customers queuing? Promote additional services or products to them as they wait.
  • Shop windows are the eyes of the retail trade - make the most of them.
  • Power isles, usually associated with supermarkets - the major motorways in a store, biggest footfall, best for one off promotions.
  • Loyalty - the UK currently has 12 million Clubcards, and 16 million Nectarcards - engage with the customer and share in the wallet!
