From a return to nature to street style Primigi appeals to the tastes of every child
Published:  01 August, 2007

For the Spring/Summer 2008, PRIMIGI presents a completely revamped collection with lots of surprises. Highly variegated models, new packaging and a brand-spanking new line, PRIMIGI GIRLS. Four themes are the inspiration of the PRIMIGI Spring/Summer 2008 collection:

STYLE: a look created for the city; aimed at luxury and the utmost attention to quality. From leather to silk, precious materials interweave giving rise to models that abound with topstitching and gold and silver finishes. On the upper, pastel tones alternate with the fresher, more lively colours of mint and citron.

ILLUSIONS: a trendy line, influenced by fanciful romanticism, magic and poetry. Illusions draws from the marine world with technical, sophisticated materials, like embossed cotton and ultra-light materials, aquatic prints, unusual laces and relief effects. The flesh colour clashes with the acid pastels, which emphasise the brightness of the models.

PLEN AIR: simplicity, ecology and nature characterize this world that rediscovers the pleasures of camping and open-air excursions. Natural fabrics like linen, cotton muslin and striped canvas covered with prints and naive embroideries. The bright, lively colours are inspired by mountain vegetation and natural minerals.

TERRES: the ethnic spirit explodes in this line, which pays homage to the African continent. The ethno-street and neo-safari style is accomplished in rustic fabrics with oriental embroidery and in leather with an elephant effect print. Intense, bright colours predominate, from salmon gold to bronze, combined with earth colour pigments.

The packaging also offers a big change. In fact, for older children Primigi is offering a completely renewed box: the image of the last advertising campaign “PRIMIGI. An Extraordinary Adventure”, filmed in South Africa, is printed on the cover. Uncontaminated nature, intense light and a fantastic rainbow frame a group of children who run around in freedom. The base of the box is orange like the colour of earth.

For younger children there are still the “Animagic boxes”, which can be transformed into 7 fantastic animals.
