A perfect blend of skillful European craftsmanship, medical know-how and state-of-the-art modern technology give FinnComfort shoes their unparalleled quality, trademark support and world-class comfort.
In addition to its well known range of comfort footwear with exchangeable footbeds, Finn Comfort has developed a therapy shoe for diabetes patients in coordination with the AOK Bayern, Germany's leading Health Insurance Company.
The German health insurance expected a shoe that can be used for special footbeds of 8 to 16 mm. FinnComfort aimed for 10mm thick footbeds in the forefoot area requiring new development of Lasts. A real challenge however was the demand that the sole must not bend and that the shoe should have a orthopaedic roll built in the sole. Additionally there was the demand for a padded upper and seamless forefoot area. The demands has been mastered successfully with the FinnOrtho line after over a year of development.
As the sole developed for this program is perfectly suitable for other lines of footwear, the decision to offer normal street wear based on this sole was natural. This resulted in FinnComfort's Finnamic program that offers all the advantages of the new developed sole for day to day use. Important is that Finnamic shoes offer the total ease of use to stand still and go relaxed through the day while using the advantages of a roll at the shoes tip and heal area.
An anatomically correct fit, ample freedom of movement, luxurious natural materials, as well as footbeds that encourage the natural heel-toe-toe rolling motion are some of the premium features of all FinnComfort footwear that speak for themselves. Finn Comfort is an excellent choice for those who require custom orthopaedics and, if necessary, Finn Comfort footbeds can also be customized to your individual needs. Finn Comfort is recommended and endorsed by leading foot health experts worldwide and is often prescribed as the finest in therapeutic comfort footwear.
