In addition to its well known range of comfort footwear with exchangeable footbeds, Finn Comfort has developed a therapy shoe for diabetes patients in coordination with the AOK Bayern, Germany's leading Health Insurance Company.

The German health insurance expected a shoe that can be used for special footbeds of 8 to 16 mm. FinnComfort aimed for 10mm thick footbeds in the forefoot area requiring new development of Lasts. A real challenge however was the demand that the sole must not bend and that the shoe should have a orthopaedic roll built in the sole.
