To celebrate their 20th anniversary, footwear designers and sourcers, Browning Group, have awarded four student scholarships of £5,000, to Cordwainers at London College of Fashion. The scholarships have been given to two BA and two MA students to help support them and allow them to fully realise their career potential.
London based Browning is one of the largest suppliers of footwear in the UK delivering over 10 million pairs a year. It supplies many of the major players on the High Street and has built a strong reputation for adding value through design. Its wide customer base and association with fashion footwear retailer Dune, gives it unparalleled market intelligence.
Daniel Rubin, Executive Chairman of Browning, said of the scholarships: "We are very pleased to celebrate this important landmark in the company’s history by helping talented students develop their careers in the footwear industry. Cordwainers has a worldwide reputation for excellence and we are delighted to be supporting them in this way. On a personal note these scholarships are particularly pertinent as they go to students who study at the LCF Mare Street site, just doors away from where both my father and grandfather ran their own factory over 80 years ago."
