LEADING footwear distributor William Lamb has appointed its first web development manager as the company steps up its on-line marketing and sales activity.
Matthew Sims’ role within the century-old, family-run business will see him not only creating a dedicated website (www.gluvfootwear. co.uk) for Lamb's latest success story - its Gluv range of ladies' shoes - but also introducing a variety of new “e-tools” to benefit stockists and consumers alike.
Lamb’s, based at Stanley, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, first started manufacturing clogs 120 years ago and now is one of the UK’s biggest footwear companies, selling more than ten million pairs of shoes each year.
"This is a new era for Lambs" says Sims " and I am delighted to be at the start of it."
