The CSM finalists will showcase their apparel and accessories designs on the graduate catwalk in February 2008 at London Fashion Week. Winning designs will also show at the Beijing Olympics in August 2008.
The PUMA Central Saint Martins bursary fund was founded in February 2007 when PUMA became the sponsors of the Central Saint Martins MA fashion show at London Fashion Week. PUMA and CSM launched al re-design competition and invited Students of the menswear MA fashion course to re - design some of PUMA's most iconic footwear styles that were then shown on the catwalk at the CSM graduate show. In August 2007 the 3 winning footwear designs will appear in select PUMA concept stores world-wide and a donation of 30 Euros a pair from every sale will be donated to the bursary fund. PUMA were the pioneers of sportfashion collaborations and since 1998 PUMA have created footwear and apparel collections with world famous designers such as Jil Sander, Neil Barrett, Philippe Starck and most recently Alexander McQueen. Establishing the PUMA CSM bursary fund has enabled PUMA to help support the next generation of fashion talent and the new Spring Summer 2008 design competition promises to be even more exciting as this years sporting highlight, the Olympic Games will be it's focus.
