Global lifestyle brand Merrell continue their support of leading youth charity Fairbridge with their quest to guide young people through the challenges of inner city life.
Merrell's involvement with the Fairbridge charity includes the organisation of a wide range of outdoor activities in order to encourage personal development. Mountain walks, canoeing and cave trips are all scheduled to take place throughout 2007 as confidence boosting activities.
Merrell are also utilising their presence at this year's hugely popular Glastonbury festival in order to maximise their partnership with the charity by exhibiting artwork and sculptures created by young people of Fairbridge. Merrell will be at Glastonbury with their branded Tipi, where they will attract further attention to Fairbridge from the festival goers by displaying contemporary artwork and inviting people to judge their favourite pieces. The winning artist will win a great prize courtesy of Merrell while also exhibiting their creativity to a mass market.
UK Marketing Manager Richard Codgbrook is delighted with Merrell's continued support for Fairbridge in 2007. “We have introduced some fantastic adventurous activates where Merrell employees can get actively involved and encourage the youngsters in their development program. Fairbridge is a remarkable charity, one which we are proud to be a part of.”
