10th anniversary for Chatham’s Washable Deck Shoes
Published: 01 February, 2007
It’s 10 years since Chatham launched the first washable deck shoes. In a joint development with Prime Tanning USA, Chatham produced a waterproof leather that absorbed only 30% of the water of a normal leather when washed. The idea was an instant success and has been taken up by other brands over the years.
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary Chatham are producing limited editions of the first styles and colours for 2007, backed by an advertising campaign, swing tags and point of sale.
