The February edition of Pure sees the launch of a dedicated Footwear section. More than 45% of buyers at Pure already sell footwear, 68% of buyers expect to sell more over the next 12 months and 66% have already increased their sales over the last 12 months. Pure Footwear will showcase over 100 collections, including brands like Birkenstock, Unisa, Manas Design, El Natura Lista, Thierry Rabotin, Yves Desfrage and Manas Lea Foscati.
In addition to the main Pure runway, a dedicated catwalk in Pure Spirit will inject energy where exciting young creative brands come to life on stage. Standout names joining this February include Duck and Cover Womenswear, Nümph, Ben Sherman Womenswear, Looking Glass Boutique, Lipsy and Yumi.
Pure organisers Emap TPS, has appointed Sarah Lawrence as Director of Pure, as it seeks to strengthen brand awareness and quality of offer. Lawrence joins from Emap Esprit where she was Sales Director across a specialist consumer magazine portfolio. She will be responsible for developing the Pure brand and leading the strategy for the show going forward.
Independent research conducted amongst buyers and exhibitors at Pure in August 2007 indicated that Pure had an extremely positive show, going from strength to strength. *79% of visitors said they attend Pure to source new brands/suppliers with 75% reporting that they successfully achieved this. 91% say that visiting Pure is important to their business and would recommend Pure to a colleague. 93% of visitors will be again attending the February 08 show.
