Emotion
Fashion made wider
Published:  20 February, 2008

The new Autumn/Winter 2008 collection from Emotion yet again blends wide fitting style with fashion-led design to produce another season of guaranteed favourites

A rich autumnal colour palette of burnished browns and warm chestnuts mingles with rich sumptuous berry shades of burgundy, plum and grape, as well as accommodating classic tones of black and grey.

Combinations of leathers provide interesting new finishes - softly glazed kid leather on chic daytime styles gives way to more daring patent shoe boots, with the use of suede as a feature trim used to highlight contrast in materials. Casually distressed leathers are also used in informal footwear.

Key design features this season include buckles and metalwork reminiscent of classic riding boots. More functional fits have been added to boots, such as stylish yet practical elastic gussets, and side panels and collar features in comfortable yet attractive leather-look calf sections.

New toe shapes are a predominant theme throughout the collection - which features more rounded almond shape toes on both boots and courts - as are updated heel designs.

A final flourish to the range is the addition of some racier styles - joining the collection for A/W08 are platform styles, wedge heeled boots and high heel boots with flexible foreparts - perfect for dancing the night away at all those Christmas parties!

Emotion are growing in strength each season, and Autumn/Winter 08 promises to be their most dynamic collection yet - proving once again that there you can achieve well-fitting shoes without compromising on style!
