What's making shoe retailers and their customers smile this spring?
Published:  20 February, 2008

The Shooz comfort gel range is set to make shoe retailers happy as the market moves from winter into summer styles. Two specially designed Shoocomfort lines, Shooz Strappy Cushioning Strips and Shooz Toe Cushions are adding value to sandal sales, as customers welcome the solution to common problems associated with new strappier fashions.

As every woman knows, the first few weeks of wearing new sandals can be uncomfortable, especially for feet that have spent the winter wrapped up in woolly tights and boots. The most common problems are with rubbing by thin straps, chaffing around toe posts and styles that cause the feet to slip.

Shooz Strappy Cushioning Strips give cushioning support from irritating straps and ease the friction that can cause redness and blisters. The ultra thin strips have a delicately minty scent and have strong adhesive properties to keep them in the right place. Each pack contains four strips and retails at around £4 a pack.

Shooz Toe Cushions are perfect for post sandals where the space between the toes can become sore. Their special shape means they protect the toes and also provide cushioning for the balls of the feet, to give great all round comfort. Their unique gel formula means that they stay put while in use but can easily be removed to use in other footwear. They even retain their effectiveness after washing. A pack retails at around £5.

June Betchley, Shooz marketing manager explains "Shooz, in their slinky, shiny packaging are proving enormously successful with retailers and customers alike. Comfortis so important and women are delighted to be offered a simple, discreet and effective solution which means they can enjoy wearing their new shoes as long as they like.

The range was developed to appeal to the fashion conscious female shopper and our customers have been impressed with the uptake of the Shooz range. They practically sell themselves and of course add real sales value".
