The word on the street has been less than optimistic since the year began - read the paper, watch the television, listen to the radio - wherever you are people seem to be talking themselves into some kind of decline. The word on the street is - recession.
So on the opening morning of the exhibition perhaps traders were expecting more of the same; halls full of independent retailers complaining about the year just gone, and worried about the one we have just embarked on.
Certainly on the MOSHULU stand confidence was not high .......
But wait......What was that you said? ‘You like the shoes'? - ‘You love the new colours'?
The weather was bad, certainly; the economy has nose dived, yes; but we have no control over these. What at we can control, though, is the offer we put in our windows, the effort we put into our business and the atmosphere we create in our shops that keeps the customers coming back - in good times and in bad.
MOSHULU is an independent business, family run, understanding the needs of it's core customers, sharing their aspirations to find something different, something comfortable, something colourful.
Something a little more MOSHULU perhaps? This is exactly what their customers are going to get this coming winter season. Something tempting for the window, something colourful in the collections that will entice the customer, put a smile on their face and give them a reason to keep coming back.
MODA UK - surprisingly encouraging - surprisingly successful!
The word on the street is recession - what recession??
