MODA Review - Padders stand buzzing
Published:  16 April, 2008

With innovative ideas, sharp styling and an appealing palette of autumnal colours, this year's Padders AW08 collection caused quite a stir at Moda.

Sunday and Monday saw a packed stand, buzzing with excitement over the new ranges and signalling a great start to the AW selling season.

Areas of interest in the ladies collections were the ultra chic ladies boots, perfectly complemented by a new range of stunning handbags and new styles in the best selling City Mocs. The men's footwear buyers showed their unanimous approval of the versatile men's collections, with a special ‘thumbs up' to the ready-to- wear ‘welted look' Commuter Comfort and the Advanced Dress ranges.

Padders also took the opportunity to tell retailers about their new Trade web site, which launched in March.

Developed specifically with retailers in mind, the site acts as an out-sourced resource of information with a ‘Marketing Toolkit' offering professionally produced marketing collateral. Lucinda Merriman, Padders' Marketing Manager said, ‘With all the other pressures and commitments retailers have in their businesses, often little time is left for marketing. We hope that with our help, retailers will have low cost solutions to drive footfall to their premises and to convert the sales once they are there'.
