Biggest stand and largest collection from Emotion at MODA
Published:  01 March, 2007

Last month’s Moda saw the biggest-ever stand from Emotion, the UK’s leading specialist in fashionable footwear for women with wider feet and calves. The stand featured a giant visual of a model wearing Emotion boots, sitting beside a lilly pond. This graphically illustrated that Emotion’s products combine comfort with fashion.

Buyers at Moda were able to view the entire Emotion autumn/winter 2007/08 range – the largest-ever collection from the company. It follows the success of last year’s collection when year-on-year sales grew by 128 per cent, and comprises a more varied boot range of nine styles with an E fitting. These feature chisel toes, round toes and almond toes in both formal and casual looks. The design notes include a rustic approach, featured leathers, chunkier heels and equestrian looks.

Alongside boots, Emotion is also including a collection of six court shoes and three casual pumps for autumn/winter. Built on success of its spring/summer 2006 range, these cover E and EE fittings, and feature wedges, points and almond toes.

Emotion is also meeting customer demand by offering all styles up to a size 10, an unusual move by a branded footwear company. In addition, to meet the requirements of many customers who find that with the wider width they can take a smaller size, all styles now start at size three.

The company’s participation at Moda followed it success at Garda in Italy. Interest in the autumn/winter range was received from 20 countries, including those from eastern Europe, the European Community, the Middle East and north America.

As Emotion’s managing director Paul McDermott says: "Our success at Garda shows that it is not only in the UK where there is a growing demand for wider fitting, fashionable footwear for women. We aim to continue to meet this demand both at home and overseas by continually designing exciting and stylish ranges."
