As part of its plans to extend and strengthen its already strong reputation for creating fashionable footwear for women with wider feet and calves, Emotion Shoes has appointed Neil Bennett to the newly-created role of national sales manager.
Neil joins Emotion from J. R. Draper of Glastonbury where he was national accounts manager. Over the 16 years he has been in the fashion and footwear industry he has gained invaluable experience at all levels, and has held sales positions at R. E. Tricker, Barker of Earls Barton and Lotus Shoes. He began his career at leading East Midlands fashion emporium H.H.Cox.
Emotion Shoes has experienced remarkable growth in its three years’ existence. Recent sales success has been unprecedented with turnover of forward sales for its spring/summer 2007 range growing by 226 per cent as compared with last year.
This supports the company’s belief that there is a growing market for fashionable footwear for women with wider feet – a view now shared by more and more retail buyers.
Commenting on Neil’s appointment, Emotion’s managing director Paul McDermott says: "We are delighted to have someone with Neil’s experience on our team, and we feel sure he will make a valuable contribution to our plans for continued growth."
