SHOE AND LEATHER TRADES GOLF AT SLALEY HALL

This year the International Golf Championship of the Shoe Leather and Allied Trades is to take place at Slaley Hall in Northumberland, on June 18th and June 19th. Slaley hall is De Vere Hotel Complex with excellent facilities for Golf and leisure.

The two Championship courses have hosted many recent PGA International Events and will provide a impressive setting for the Championship, which includes a Ladies Trophy and a Visitors Trophy.

On the day prior to the Championship there is an International Match between England/Wales and Scotland/Ireland, followed by a Start-rite Sponsored practice competition. The Trade Banquet is on the Thursday night, when the Regional Trophies are presented along with Cheques to the Charities.

Last year the Event raised £15,000 for the Trade Charities, and the event is the major donor to both Footwear Friends, formerly the Footwear Benevolent Society, and the Leather & Hides Trades Benevolent Institution, and it is hoped that support will continue in these difficult times for the Charities and their hundreds of annuitants and beneficiaries.

LondonEdge and London Centre return to London Olympia 5-7 February 2010
For the 12^th year running, this February 2010 will see the return of trade shows LondonEdge and London Central to London’s Olympia National Hall which is joined for the second time by The Ledge Show, increasing their sector coverage from alternative and streetwear to skatewear clothing, hardwear and accessories.

GDS confirms dates for 2012 - Surveys being conducted re future GDS dates
Next year GDS - International Event for Shoes & Accessories – and GLOBAL SHOES – leading trade show for sourcing – will be held from 14 to 16 March and from 5 to 7 September 2012. For the dates from 2013 various surveys are currently being conducted at home and abroad in order to identify visitors’ and exhibitors’ views and wishes.
EXPO RIVA SCHUH INDIA: JUST RIGHT FIRST TIME
The first edition of Expo Riva Schuh India was a success: 4670 Indian and international visitors, mainly from the USA and North America, Latin America (Brazil, Colombia) and Europe (France, Germany, Italy, UK representing 8000 sales points); Asian and Middle East countries (Malaysia, Pakistan, Palestine, Arab Emirates) attended the event with its best offer of shoes, bags, belts, suitcases, wallets and leather accessories on display from 28 to 30 July in Pavilion 14 of the Pragati Maidan trade fair, in New Delhi.
