Founder of Calla Shoes, Jennifer Bailey has recently been recognised as part of the Inspiring Women Awards, as 2018’s inspirational entrepreneur.

Jennifer, who launched Calla Shoes, a range of beautiful shoes specifically for women with bunions, less than three years ago, scooped the award at the ceremony held in Manchester, attended by hundreds of the region’s leading business influencers.

Recognised for her hard-work and dedication to providing a solution for the millions of women who suffer from bunions in the UK and beyond, Jennifer was chosen by a panel of judges.

Talking about Jennifer’s success, awards founder, Jacqueline Hughes-Lundy, said: “This innovative category had a number of high calibre nominees, but Jennifer stood out as someone who showed that entrepreneurial spirit, in not giving up on her business idea, and under the most difficult of circumstances, pursued her dream until Calla Shoes was born. Hers is an inspiring story for anyone wanting to set up their own business.”

Jennifer continued: “Being recognised by the business community is extremely important to me and my business. I was honoured to win this award and I hope to inspire more female entrepreneurs in the future.

“Calla Shoes was born out of a personal problem; not being able to find shoes to fit my feet due to bunions, but from customer feedback over the past two years, I know I am helping so many women. I have just launched my latest range and customers, old and new, are still telling me what a difference it has made to their lives. It really is testament to the impact you can have if you just believe in your own ideas.”
