Pure Shanghai is to offer British and international brands with unrivalled export opportunities next month as it opens its doors to key players from across China’s fashion retail market, one of the most exciting markets in the world.

Taking place from 13-15 October in partnership with CHIC, China’s largest and most influential fashion trade event, Pure Shanghai will present international apparel, accessories and footwear collections from over 50 brands, offering a pivotal platform for them to meet and network with China’s key multiband stores, department stores, online retailers, agents, distributors, press and retailing partners.

Despite the latest news on China’s slowdown, its apparel sales have risen by 11.6% since 2013, to 187 million USD, with apparel online retailing having also increased by 42% in the last two years. Further, every urban household in China spends 10% of their total income on clothing (compared to 3% in the US), with the dominant country set to become the world’s largest fashion market by 2017.

The impending Pure Shanghai will provide growing brands and designers with a fantastic gateway to reach these international markets and capitalise on the world’s leading economy. Buying directors from House of Fraser in China are among those already confirmed to attend, joining the network of buyers and retailers in search of fashion-forward collections from a whole host of international brands.

The growing line-up of brands confirmed to exhibit includes Desigual, Rains, My My by Phuong My, Jatin Varma, Eliatt, BC, Luxac, Anywhere Style, Faliakos, Blessed by the Meek, Ness, Vendula and Elk Accessories, as well as leading footwear brands Fly London and French Sole.

With just one month to go until the much-anticipated event, Pure Shanghai is making a last call for brands to exhibit; the process is quick and simple, with a dedicated team at Pure Shanghai on hand to offer advice on flights, visas and import tax.
