Start-rite Shoes Ltd, is delighted to announce the appointment of Claire Russell, who has joined the company as Head of Design.
Claire joins Start-rite from Dr Martens where she held the position of Lead Designer. Claire studied design, craft and three-dimensional design at Aberdeen university and has over 20 years’ experience in footwear design working for Pentland and Kickers before joining Dr Martens.
Claire will work closely with the product and design team to help further strengthen this area of the business.
Claire said: “I have a broad range of experience in design, but have always held a passion for children’s footwear. I am absolutely delighted to be joining Start-rite, a brand that is so highly respected and loved, and with a history to be admired and trusted. I hope to play a key role in delivering the company’s plans to strengthen the business.”
