The UKs biggest shoemaker has donated eyecatching Royal Wedding shoes to the team of volunteers who will be on their feet from 4am to 7pm making sure the wedding day runs smoothly.
“We took the shoes that starred in our TV advert and gave them a patriotic red, white and blue twist which will look fabulous with the Ambassadors’ uniforms on such a celebratory day,” said Sara Prowse, Hotter CEO. “These shoes are selling like hot cakes in the UK and the US, we’ve already sold out our initial production and we’ll be making more in our Lancashire factory this week.
“Shoes are one of the few items of clothing that can ruin your day, but ours are the perfect marriage of style and fit so we know they’ll help the hard working ambassadors keep a smile on their face every minute of this very special day.”

The Royal Borough Ambassadors are a legacy of the volunteer programme which was set up for the London 2012 Olympic Games. At that time they were the Eton Dorney Ambassadors and ever since have been known as the Royal Borough Ambassadors. They all have spectator safety, first aid, customer service and counter terrorism training but their primary role is to meet and greet visitors at various events held in the royal borough.
They are the friendly locals who know Windsor and the surrounding area very well and can help answer visitor’s questions and point them in the right direction. At the same time as offering a warm welcome to Windsor they are always looking out for visitor’s wellbeing and safety. They work alongside the professional stewards and the police to ensure events run smoothly and that everyone has a great time. That’s exactly what they’ll be doing during the royal wedding when 120 Ambassadors will be deployed. They are easily spotted in their red polo shirts, jackets and caps and now red, white and blue Hotter shoes!
