The Florida Group Ltd have today announced the acquisition of T.Groocock & Co (Rothwell) Ltd.
The purchase, completed on the 8th May, will provide an exciting opportunity to integrate the two companies extensive footwear and management skills to develop and grow their brands.

As a result T.Groocock & Co (Rothwell) Ltd will change it’s name to Padders (Kettering) Ltd and continue operating from their Northamptonshire base. The Florida Group Ltd and their principal brand, Van-Dal, together with BioNatura and BearPaw will continue to operate from their Norwich premises.

Florida Group CEO Tony Linford said: “We are delighted to conclude this deal. There is enormous pressure on business in the current climate, particularly on those engaged in manufacturing and wholesale. Inevitably there will be consolidation in the industry and this move represents an exciting opportunity for both companies.

There are substantial synergies, whether in terms of the sales, sourcing and development expertise or our ability to leverage operational efficiencies. The economies generated from the combined business will undoubtedly benefit both brands.“
